The 2019 Supreme Convention

The Minnesota State Council is hosting the 2019 Supreme Convention in Minneapolis.  We will be needing a lot of help to pull this off and have it run smoothly.

If you can possibly volunteer, please sign up here!

Tours will be starting on Aug 3rd, 4th & 5th, with an opening party on Monday night, the 5th of August.  The opening Mass will be on Tuesday morning and you won’t want to miss that.  There are usually 10 Cardinals and 80 – 100 Archbishops and Bishops there as well as many Priests from all over the world.

For the opening mass of the convention on Tuesday there is NO COST and you do not have to register with the state – BUT YOU MUST REGISTER WITH THE SUPREME SECRETARY AS YOU MUST HAVE A SUPREME NAME BADGE

People can register on line or on site at the Supreme Secretary’s office but that MUST be done prior to that Tuesday! Supreme has not provided us with the website for the Supreme Secretary yet, but we will add a link here when they do … it will probably not be until after our State Convention in May.

In the afternoon on Tuesday the business sessions start; then the formal States Dinner will be that same evening and is always a great time.  On Wednesday will be another business session for all of the delegates and an Awards Session in the afternoon.  On Thursday will be the wrap up session of the business of the Knights of Columbus.

We are going to need help with running all of the tours and events prior to the start of the business sessions.  There will be a big need for greeters and drivers to help with transportation of the hierarchy to and from the airport.  Registration will need helpers as well as a Country Store we will have.  There will be a Ladies Luncheon that will serve from 400-600 ladies.  We will need helpers to assist with a Youth Hospitality Room (Child Care) and also 4th Degree members to be in the Honor Guards and an Adoration Chapel.

Very Tentative Schedule of Events

This is a very tentative schedule taken from the agenda of the 2018 Supreme Convention held in Baltimore but it gives you a rough time schedule for when help will be needed.  Anything in italics is a function in which we would need to furnish some volunteers in some fashion.
