State Camporee

Chairman Roger Coudron Family Programs

We welcome you to the 26th Annual MN Knights of Columbus State Camping weekend

~ Also known as the KC Camporee ~

August 28-30, 2020 at the Brookside Campground near Blooming Prairie, MN

All Knights and their families are invited to attend.  The weekend begins on Friday evening with Stations of the Cross followed by time around the campfire.  Saturday activities begin with breakfast at the pavilion with prayer time.  Then we have bean bag and horseshoe tournaments.

Saturday evening we will have Mass and a catered meal.  Sunday opens with breakfast and prayer time.

Brookside has many things to offer a family.  You can just relax and visit, or enjoy the heated swimming pool, basketball and volleyball courts, gaga ball, hiking trails or kayak and canoeing access.  There is also crafts for kids on Saturday morning, and wagon rides on Friday and Saturday evenings.  Brookside is a pretty wooded campground along the Cedar River.

The campground is about 12 miles from Austin, MN for those who like to go sightseeing.

For those who would like to come, but do not camp, the campground has two primitive cabins without running water, and two campers for rent.  One of the campers is smaller and would be fine for a couple.  The other camper is large enough for a family.  Both of the campers have full hookups.  There is also plenty of room for tent campers.

For information, contact Roger and Deanna Coudron at 507-532-6766 or  You can also look up Brookside on the internet at or call them at 507-583-2979.

If you wish to reserve a campsite, you can call or email the campground and ask for sites reserved by the Knights of Columbus.  The sites will be held until August 1st, 2020.  We would appreciate it if you also contact Deanna and Roger by phone or email to register with the Knights of Columbus, so we can plan for the catered meal.
