State Camporee
Chairman Roger Coudron Family Programs
We welcome you to the 29th Annual MN Knights of Columbus State Camping weekend
~ Also known as the KC Camporee ~
August 25-27, 2023 at the Brookside Campground near Blooming Prairie, MN
All Knights and their families are welcome to attend. The weekend begins on Friday evening with Stations of the Cross followed by time around the campfire. Saturday activities begin with breakfast at the pavilion and Morning Prayer time. Then we have bean bag and horseshoe tournaments.
Saturday evening we will have Mass and a catered meal. Sunday opens with breakfast and prayer time.
Brookside has many things to offer a family. You can just relax and visit, or enjoy the heated swimming pool, basketball and volleyball courts, gaga ball, hiking trails or kayak and canoeing access. There is also crafts for kids on Saturday morning, and wagon rides on Friday and Saturday evenings. Brookside is a pretty, wooded campground along the Cedar River.
For those who have camped at Brookside before, all of the sites for campers now have water, electricity and sewer, except the ones in the circle. Those do not have sewer as they are in the trees and they do not have sewer at this time.
The campground is south of Blooming Prairie and about 12 miles from Austin MN for those who like to check out the surrounding area.

If you wish to reserve a campsite, you can call or email the campground and ask for sites reserved by the Knights of Columbus. If you think you will be camping with us, it would be best to reserve as soon as possible, as the sites will go fast. We would appreciate it if you also contact us by phone or email to register with the Knights of Columbus, so we can plan for the catered meal.
