Minneapolis Area Knights of Columbus Male Chorus,
began their 60th year in September! Join us!
The Minneapolis Area Knights of Columbus Male Chorus was founded in 1957. Member- ship is open to men 18 years of age, who are a practicing Catholic with a love of singing (which is a form of prayer). Practices are 2 hours weekly on Monday evenings 7:00 – 9:00 p.m. at St Joseph’s Church 36th & Boone Avenue North, New Hope, MN.

The 2018 Minnesota State Free Throw Championship will be hosted on April 7, 2018. The tentative location is Cathedral High School in St. Cloud.  Please contact State Chairman Conrad Meir at cmeier2@chartermi.net or call (320) 260-6945 or (320) 259-5169 for more information. Details can also be found on the State Website under Programs – Youth Programs – Free Throw Championship (on the second Youth Programs page).
State Bowling – teams come together for 5 shifts over 2 weekends (4/7-8 & 4/14-15) at McPetes Sports & Bar in Big Lake.  Call Steve Weitzel (320.235.9494) for details on 2019 location as well.
Second and third weekend in April
State campaign for people with intellectual disabilities a.k.a. Tootsie Roll Dr.
Held by majority of consuls across the state.  Please check www.mnknights.org for Council locations and contacts.  Collections of donations generates over $400,000 back to local and statewide programs.  Simple 1-2 hour shift can include entire family!
October 2018
State Soccer Championship
October 6, 2018, St. Thomas Academy Soccer Field, St. Paul, MN
9:00am registration and 10:00am contest.  Score points by kicking goals without goalie.  Sounds easy but youth earn xtra points for shots in corners.  Highest score wins.  Contestants are from winning Districts level contests in 5 age groups, boys and girls compete in their our groups.  Search www.mnknights.org for more details and pictures from previous years.  Rain or shine!  Volunteer judges always welcomed.
November 2018
The volunteer event of the yea r takes place across the state when the KCs host the Special Olympics Bowling event.  Over 3000 athletics come together to bowl in the State Bowling Event.  Hosted at 6 sites last year, this special weekend is very rewarding.  Tentative dates are November 8-11.  Locations to be announced soon.

March for Life, St. Paul Cathedral 10:30am Mass, March to Capital 12 noon12:30pm Program on Capital steps for 45-60 minutes.  Families encouraged to attend.

2019 Supreme Convention

In 2019, from August 3-8, we in Minnesota will have the honor and the responsibility to host the 137th edition of this great international convention.

There you will find the many ways you can become involved, such as a driver that will have direct contact with the hierarchy or as a greeter to welcome guest from all over the world. We still have many opportunities for leadership positions.
