Oct 2020 Officers Mtg

The Minnesota State Officers meeting was held in Staples, MN. which is where our State Chaplain Fr. Gabriel Walz is the Parish Priest.  We met in the Church Basement of Sacred Heart Catholic Church there on Saturday.

We stayed at the Timberlake Hotel in Staples, which was a very nice place and the staff there was very helpful and attentive to our needs.  They offered their breakfast area for our use on both Friday and Saturday evenings and also during the afternoon on Saturday for the gals to visit.

The gals made some blankets for the Star of the North Maternity Home in Duluth, as we had a request for assistance from there earlier that week.  They also brought along some gifts for the Home to be donated, as well as the State Council offering a cash donation.

While we were all together, we were asked to do a cheer for this year’s Fall Classic for the Special Olympic Athletes.  So we got together and recorded a video for them, dressed in our “Rock ‘n’ Roll” 50’s gear!
