Our Lady of Fatima Procession

The procession was for the 100th anniversary of the final sighting of Our Lady Of Fatima on Friday, October 13th. There were numerous council members present along with a contingent from the Fourth Degree. Council member Tom Rentz put the whole proceedings on starting with a prayer service in the garden of St. Augustine’s parish with a procession along the busiest road through St. Cloud, Division St., over the Mississippi river to the Cathedral with the participants saying the rosary along the way. Father Scott Pogatschnik led the opening prayer service and led the rosary and Father Doug Liebsch led the 45 minute prayer service at the Cathedral. It is estimated that there were approximately 300 people in attendance.
The procession progressed through downtown St. Cloud with many mobile and pedestrian onlookers. Occasionally, you would see a pedestrian make the Sign-of-the-Cross as they viewed Our Lady’s procession approaching. That was very moving. The Prayer Service at the Cathedral ended with a Crowning of Flowers for Mary.
